Perched on a promontory 417 m above sea level, the village of Châteauneuf-Grasse is built on a hill of ancient olive trees overlooking the Opio plain.

The village offers panoramic views from the Italian Alps to the Esterel mountains. Preserved and discreet, it is located near the Pré-du-Lac shopping district, at the crossroads of several tourist routes.

An exceptional landscape

Just a 20-minute drive from Cannes and Nice, Opio is a Provencal village of restored bastides preserved in a green setting. Roses and jasmine are grown here for the Grasse perfume industry, while the Grande Bastide olive grove, one of the largest in the department, produces a delicious olive oil that you can pick up at the famous Moulin d’Opio.

This small town of 3,700 inhabitants has remained faithful to its agricultural and horticultural tradition, while developing other economic activities, in particular crafts (ceramics, pottery, sculpture, etc.) and commerce.

A rich past

Listed as a protected site, the village has a rich history dating back to prehistoric times, with its flower-lined lanes and preserved 16th-century buildings, as well as the remains of the ancient fortified castle.

The village hosts a number of cultural events, such as the annual Gourd Festival in October and the Nuits du Brusc, musical concerts held in the gardens of the Brusc chapel at the beginning of each summer.

At the foot of the Grande Bastide golf course

Golf de la Grande Bastide offers an 18-hole course in a unique setting at the foot of the hills of the Nice hinterland. Suitable for beginners and experienced golfers alike, the course is a must for golf enthusiasts on the Côte d’Azur. The clubhouse and its facilities (restaurant/bar/café) are a ten-minute walk from the residence.
